GSA ROAD SCHOOL

Interacting with our students and parents at GSA Road School, completing interview for maintaining scholarships, interviewing principal, and providing school supplies for the upcoming school year. Our founder also spent the day shadowing some of the students, meeting parents, and understanding their challenges on a deeper level.

UNIFICATION TOWN SCHOOL

Our founder paid a surprise visit to students and staff at Unification Town School in Margibi County. All students were very excited to see him. Many of them challenge him to do whatever “Facebook photo post” they suggested and he did. It was clearly a lot of fun for everyone involved, including some teachers.

KAKATA AND STUDENTS’ HOMES

Student Record Capturing day is important for YesLiberia—a day where existing students’ records are reviewed and analyzed, school supplies are given to all existing students, and new students are educated on requirements to maintain scholarships. It is usually a long bug motivating day for our staff and the students

A DAY IN PIPELINE COMMUNITY

Pipeline Community School was an inspiring visit. 50% of students at this school are disabled. We served the 12 grade class with lunch, went with them to visit a classmate who lost her mother, added two new sophomore students to our scholarship program, and had fun walking some students home. Jallah also shadowed one student for the day.

JALLAH AS KEYNOTE SPEAKER

At the request of Educate the Future Liberia (ETF), our founder, Jallah, served as keynote speaker at Vamoma House in Sinkor, Monrovia Liberia, where 300 students listened to a message focusing on “Students’ Role in the Development Process of Liberia.”

SOMALIA DRIVE COMMUNITY

Jallah and team spend a day making one student feel very special at school. With surprise with his grandmother and the YesLiberia volunteer team, Enoch was given lots of attention to keep him motivated in school.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

At one of our Student Leadership Conferences where student leaders from more than 28 schools across Liberia were given the opportunity to attend for free and learn about Dreams, Good Citizenry, Peer Pressure, Service Learning, and Volunteering.

LILIAN RACED NATIONALLY

Lilian, a 13-year-old student on our scholarship program, as selected to participate in a national track and field race in Liberia. Over 200 runners participated. Our founder surprised Lilian with the outfit she needed, and attended at 5am in the morning as a surprise to her. She came 3rd in the race amongst her peers.
