Paying It Forward. Our journey to giving 76% of 10,000 full scholarships began long before the first scholarship. It began when our founder had to sell doughnuts and water to pay for his education and long before generous donors paid for him to attend school.
Interns' Testimonials
I am a student at Columbia University, doing my Masters in M.A. in Instructional Technology and Media. As an Intern at YesLiberia, I’ve learned that applying what I study to real-world projects often requires balancing many different factors. Through the process of collaborating with the team, I’ve received both encouragement and constructive feedback, which has helped me grow professionally and personally. This experience has shown me the value of teamwork, adaptability, and creativity in bringing ideas to life!
I graduated from United World College East Africa in May 2022 and returned to Liberia, where I interned with YesLiberia as a social media live host. This role really resonated with me because I saw myself in students we serve—motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn, just like I was in high school in Liberia. My time with YesLiberia wasn’t only about gaining professional experience or collaborating with people globally. It was also a season of reflection on all the efforts and sacrifices poured into my own educational journey.
I'm proud to be a intern with YesLiberia. I act as a bridge between Operations, HR, and Innovation/Strategy—listening to frontline challenges, capturing takeaways from team check-ins, and turning them into clear action plans. The focus is empathy first: mapping pain points, smoothing handoffs, and shaping simple processes so our on-ground teams get what they need faster. Grateful to work with a group that values listening as much as delivery, always open to connect and learn from others doing this work.
